Immigration Business Liaison & Strategic Initiatives Manager ‑ Non-Consulting

 

The US Immigration Business Liaison and Strategic Initiatives Manager will serve as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor on US immigration issues across Advisory, Audit, Tax and the Enabling Areas practices.

 

 

Work you’ll do

The US Immigration Business Liaison and Strategic Initiatives Manager will identify trends and escalate programmatic or strategic needs to business and immigration leadership to enable customized US immigration programs to meet business needs. 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Deloitte US immigration processes, policies, and protocols
  • Provide analysis and recommendations based on data and reporting to enable strategic business decisions
  • Identify trends and escalate programmatic or strategic needs to immigration leaders
  • Engage with functional Talent and business stakeholders to work through individual case or programmatic escalations, and make recommendations on how to proceed based on legal guidance of outside counsel
  • Create and deliver communications to aid in the understanding of complex US immigration concepts for functional business and Talent stakeholders
  • Create and maintain educational and information resources for functional Talent

 

The team

The US Immigration program is part of the Talent team of Deloitte Services LP in partnership with the Office of General Counsel. This team provides strategic immigration services to foreign nationals who work in the U.S., immigration program compliance oversight, and training to the management, Talent Services and the employees of the Deloitte U.S. Firms.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • BA or BS undergraduate degree or US-equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of related immigration experience
  • Significant program management experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to liaise and report out across the organization at very senior levels
  • Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders across Talent and the business
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks appropriately
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with large teams
  • Ability to manage confidential information appropriately and professionally
  • Strong competency in core professional skills,
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
